I hope you've had very good holidays and lots of fun... but it's time we started working again! Didn't you miss English classes a lot? OOoops. Yeah, probably not much...
Anyway, next topic in class for the Intermediate group has to do with different types of dwelling and I found a very interesting website with an MP3 file to listen to. It is about a girl from Canada talking about her hometown. The whole recording is divided into different segments, so if you can't understand a part of it, you can restart that very segment and listen to it again. What is Kwanzaa? (ADVANCED)

Now that most of us are enjoying Xmas, we should bear in mind that not everybody celebrates it. Have you ever heard of Channukah or Kwanzaa for instance? maybe you have, maybe you haven't...
Now you can listen to a very good description about Kwanzaa, seven days of celebration that African American communities are so proud of. It is a celebration of their cultural heritage, rather than a religious celebration.
